Rude, rude, rude, Many times we have made reservations only to watch them be ignored. Walk ins and angry customers get seated first. They have left wine gtlasses for you by the front door. A smart move, if you get mellow enoutgh you don’t much care that your reservation is an hour and a half late. Finally when it is time to be seated, you must RUN behind the ill mannered owner, Giuseppe, to find where he has left your menues and you are supposed to seat yourself. The food is good but the “get em in get em out” atmosphere takes the gastronomic pleasure away. My favorite was the suprise birthday dinner my husband held for me. When we arrived to eat alone the young hostess says”Your party is waiting for you”.
Who ever wrote the review above hasn’t experienced Girseppes.
Hands down worst dining experience ever. Waited 50 minutes even though we had reservations. When our name was finally called, by the time we got through the crowd the owner was nowhere to be found. We were left to figure out which table was ours. Midway through dinner we were asked to pick up our plates and move to another table so that they could make room for another larger party. The food was ordinary, nothing special. I was left scratching my head as to why the people kept filing in just to be treated like a herd of cattle. Only thing I can figure is that it is inexpensive. However, I’d pay more elsewhere to have a better experience.
well tratoria giuseppe is a very busy place everytime i have been there the place was always packed, i had to wait too for my table i have to say not to long and it is worth it . i learned to go during the week now that they have opera and lobster night on tuesday and wednesday and avoid weekends ..the quality of the food is one of the best i have ever had, and i was in italy several times.the food is been consistent everytime.the atmosphere is beautiful and no problem finding parking .can t wait for the summer to have dinner outdoors .i suggest everyone to try trattoria giuseppe
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is fabulous and always consistent and whatever I order it is always my new favorite item on the menu. To those who said the food was ordinary, I would like to know where they like to go and eat becuase in my opinion this place is well above average. Giuseppe is wonderful, and yes he does run around like a nut and the weekends you always need to wait for tables but they do their best to accomodate everyone. I agree they do need to get better at reservations because that is why you make reservations, so you don’t have to wait, but it is an excellent restaurant and well worth the wait!!
The owner is only interested in collecting money and not making the customer have an enjoyable meal. No more for me. I’m tired of being pushed out of my table (not by the staff) by the owner becasue he wants to make another buck. Keep treating people like this in this economy and you will be joining the rest of us and eating at home. You won’t be in business much longer. Go back to your old country where you can get away with being rude… Try France, they will love you.
Kaly, Joan, & Scott are right on the money. The guy continues to overbook the place. We thought we were in trouble when we pulled in and saw all the people milling around the parking lot. And, as stated in previous comments, lots of glasses were given out so folks could drink and forget they were being treated like cattle. We went there last night for a 7:30 reservation only to be screamed at by the owner 50 minutes later when we asked when we would be seated. All the while we watched people he knew be seated. The owner shouted ‘we would get a table when he gave us one and he did not want to talk to us again’. Guess what, he won’t ever see us again. We ended up at Anthony’s in Malvern. Great BYOB - food and waitstaff were the best.
Yes, it is like a mad house there. We were asked to leave our table and our coffee and dessert had not arrived yet. The food is good but the treatment is awful. No more meals for me at that place.
